1. Watch first 7.5 minutes of Crash Course in History the Great Depression
2. Review the causes of the Great Depression by reading the comic
3. ReadP.101, 102 (up to working for 20c a day), 104, together to see how the PMs responded to the Great Depression.
7. Finish Dear Mr. Bennet (this is the whole episode, go to 39 minutes in)
-Mackenzie King 1929-1930; 1935-1945 Bennett 1930-35
8. -Use the notes to write a 8 line poem about how they responded, interview, rap battle, drawing, 6 newspaper headlines, puppet show, trading card. Present to the class tomorrow. Must have Pms name and a minimum of 4 ways that they responded.

Friday November 16
1-1. Review John Maynard Keynes in notes, explain how his ideas influenced The Social Credit Party and CCF. He has also influenced how we have dealt with every economic downtown since then (i.e. BC economic Plan). Watch the two videos below to explain Keynes philosophy. Only watch 3.5 minutes of the Keynes rap as the rest is about another economist.

Monday November 19
1. Present Creative Review on Bennett/King
2. Learn about John Maynard Keynes and how his economic theories influenced leaders during the Great Depression
3. Now that we know how the Political Parties Dealt with the Depression, we will learn about how the Canadian Population dealt with the depression. Today we will learn about Farmers. Watch the clip blown away (see Canada a People's history above, go to 35 minutes )
4. Discuss Tree Screens, Stubble Farming and Trash Farming. Record Drawings off the board.
5. Finish Chapter questions, 1-12 due tomorrow.
